Do i need a 7.1 soundcard for Hyperx Cloud?

Now i have Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 soundcard and a stereo headset but now i wanna to my Hyperx Cloud headset. I hope have a bigger sound quality than like the stereo :S
And the queastion : 5.1 soundcard compatible with Virtual 7.1 headset?

Tyhe answer to your question is No.

Heres why,
The HyperX Cloud headset is Stereo only. hence doesn't need a 5.1 soundcard.
The HyperX Cloud2 headset is 7.1 but has its own built in USB soundcard and will not use another soundcard at all.

Okey thanks! But what's the different the on cloud vs cloud 2? Only the mic side and the ports?
