Just upgraded to a 802.11ac router. Don't know much about them, just know it's supposed to be faster than the 802.11n I had before.
Also I've been using the same old Ethernet cable for years. But now I started looking in to Ping as I play COD and it's something you want to be as low as possible.
I read the cable might be one thing I can upgrade to decrease latency.
I also realize that more/better something isn't always better, like RAM in gaming, you can only add so much before there no more gains.
The cable I'm using is a:
FOXCONN E204149 (UL) TYPE CM 75oC STP 26 AWG 2PAIRS PATCH CABLE which I read is CAT5.
My MoBo is:
ASUS P9x79 Pro
Would I see any benefit with a CAT 6 cable?
