Question Do I need a graphics card if my motherboard had an on board graphics chipset?

I bought an AMD Ryzen 2700x and a motherboard that includes a graphics chipset. I was under the impression that this chipset allowed me to not need a GPU and let that chipset handle display out. I’m not able to find where I can enable that option. I plugged in a GPU from a different computer to open BIOS and see if there is an option but I am unable to locate it. My mother board is a TUF B450M-Plus gaming.

That CPU has no integrated GPU. You need a discrete GPU in order to have ANY display output.

So when it says that what does that mean? Because there are motherboards without that as well.

Not sure why it says that. Must be a typo. Any Ryzen series CPU without a "G" in the model name has no iGPU. Therefore you must have a discrete GPU for display.

Edit: I don't think it's a typo, just a confusing way to state it supports CPUs with integrated Vega graphics.
