Do i need a laptop

Will I need a laptop for highschool? I'd rather build a desktop but if its necessary i'll go with a laptop

If you plan on doing your homework at home you should build yourself a desktop. That way you can build in a decent gaming capability while you're at it. If you expect that you'll be doing work at the library, park, friend's house, or at school, then you'll probably want to get yourself a laptop.

Or you could build yourself a good desktop and buy a cheap Android tablet. Use the tablet when you're out and about, and for light work. For heavy duty work, lots of typing etc, you can switch to the desktop.

Personally the tablet and desktop PC would be my choice. Laptops are great but you are stuck with what you have got, tablets are easy to replace and desktops are easily upgraded when needed to.

i'd get a desktop, easy to upgrade, won't waste parts (you won't ditch everything when you buy new parts)

i think a laptop is not a necessity, i mean, is the school requiring it? if not then, you know.
