Do I need a new GPU for my new monitor?

I just bought a BenQ XL2730Z, but I'm wondering if I'll need a new graphics card with it. Right now I have 2 cards in crossfire.

I still plan on using my other monitor as a secondary, but it's resolution is only 1920x1080.
EDIT: I was looking around at some options. Would this work for what I need? It seems like a good deal.

well for 1440p I would say you would want a R9 380 or better. so I guess you do want a new one, but you do not need one.

If I don't get a new one, will I still be able to run new games in 2K with decentish settings?

you only have 1 GB of VRAM ( crossfire uses the lower amount), so probably low tom medium settings.

It looks like the 7770 is designed for 1080p, not 1440p. According to AMD Radeon site:

It can handle the resolution? Supposedly. Just not specked for 1440p. Bummer. Having two of those cards should help the performance, but you may experience unexpected failures during game play.
