Question Do I need a PCIe 5.0 slot for the RTX 4090?

though it will be compatible with the 4.0 slot, we really can't say anything about performance since no one has the card in hand yet (or at least can tell us what they know)

once reviews can go live, then and only then will we know anything about performance or what specific configurations will or won't do.

most likely, based on past experience, it won't make a difference at all, but we do have to wait for real reviews to know for sure :)

None of 40-series cards supports PCIe 5.0, 4.0 is max. No need to wait reviews to see how it performs on PCIe 5.0 board.
