Do I Need a Surge Protector or UPS for a Corsair HX850 Power Supply?

Hi, I recently moved to the United States, and there's a blizzard that's about to arrive today and there are expected power outages. I was wondering if I need a UPS or surge protector to protect my computer from harm. I have a Corsair HX850 Power Supply

TL;DR: I have a Corsair HX850, if there's an outage do I need a UPS or surge protector?

Also, I'm not sure if I put this thread under the right category, so sorry if I'm wrong 🙁

In general, you should always have, at least, a surge protector and an UPS would be even better.

You don't NEED a surge protector, but, if you've spent a lot on your build, or whatever it is that your hooking up to the wall, it's definitely worth spending the extra few dollars (in my case, only cost an extra £3 (4$) for a surge protector power extension). I would say go for it if you don't mind spending a tiny bit more.

The safest thing to do is unplug it if you don't have surge protection and or a ups.
