Do I need an upgrade for the upcoming titles?

Basically I'm a person who doesn't have tons of cash but wants to get the absolute best performance possible. Sound familiar? Anyway I built my first PC late last year/early this year. I want to know if I need any upgrades for this next year of titles, specifically: Battlefield hardline, GTAV, etc... To run at ultra with good performance as well.

My rig:
Fx-4350 AMD
8 gb ballistix ram
R9 280x gigabyte wind force OC edition
970a-ud3 gigabyte motherboard
Cx600m psu

consider a CPU upgrade to maybe an FX 6000 or 8000 series

it is worth a consideration. If so, get the fx 8000 series to avoid bottlenecks and a psu upgrade to around 800W aswell.

I'm sure the 280x will be able to handle ultra at 1080 for the next year titles. I think the cpu will handle them too (not totally sure of this point). If you are going to upgrade something, upgrade the cpu+mobo. I would suggest a 4670k p.e.!

Edit. with the 4670x+280x, you won't have to upgrade the psu (even if you oc the i5 a bit).

Could I get away with a 750 or 760 watt? They're is a lot of great deals for them on new egg. I'd like to stay AMD. They've grown on me haha so say an fx-8350, crossfire r9 280x, and a new psu. What about adding more ram?

You won't need more than 8 gb of ram, I never go over 75% with my 8 gigs of ram, and I can have 20 chrome tabs while I'm running a game, and some other stuff. As for the GPU, you don't really need to upgrade so early, wait and see how your system fares with the new games, and if you really feel the need put in a second r9 280x, but the r9 280x is a powerful card. Oh and yes, a good 750w psu is enough.

If I upgraded to the 8350 or a 6000 series from amd do I need a new psu? I see the comparison to Intel but I just can't afford their processors right now plus a mobo

The comparison wasn't to tell you that intel is better, it's just to tell you that your CPU needs upgrading, an FX-6300 for example can do just fine in most games. And no, you won't need to buy a new psu if you're only changing the CPU.
But the 8350 would be indeed better.

That's what I'm gonna get the 8350. I may add another card in a couple months, liquid cool everything and oc. Then start to save up for a masterpiece. Haha

That's nice, custom loops are quite expensive but damn they're cool :O (Pun intended) And save up for a masterpiece? I'm sure your r9 280x crossfire is gonna be enough for a couple of years ^^
