Hello!

I have a mass storage (690gb) ssd from sandisk, and my hardware monitor tells me that it is 30° C (~86° F). I am not sure if this is accurate or not... but that leads me to my question. Do I need a fan blowing on my ssd? I have a custom mini itx case and there is no air moving on the ssd (there is a front mounted radiator that is pulling air OVER the ssd, not sure if this is enough or not...)

Let me know,
Thanks!

Hot, yes.
Out of operating range? Almost certainly not.

30C is fine. My drives are currently running at ~35C (in a reasonably hot room).
Sandisk gives these drives an operating range of 0C to 70C.
For the Ultra II, for instance:

It is fine.

As mentioned 30deg c is very cool for a drive you don't need a fan at all. The fan you have pulling air over the SSD is enough

Look in the user manual, and see what the operating temp range is.

I don't have the m.2 drive yet, and I am still in the designing phase of my case, so I need to know if I should get one or not--it will change the design of the case. I have heard that m.2s run hot
