Do i need the Corsair Commander Pro and the Lighting Node Pro?

I just bought two Corsair ll120 rgb fans. Im just confused because i dont have any of the Lighting Node Pro or the Commander Pro. But i have a rgb header on my motherboard. Will the RGB on the fan work fine if i plugged them to my motherboard's RGB header?

Iirc, the connectors are proprietary and you will need the lighting node pro.

They are proprietary connectors. You'll need either a Lighting Node Pro or a Commander Pro AND a Fan Hub. You'll get the Lighting Node Pro and the Fan hub in the multipacks of the fans.

Uh ... no. The Fan Hub is for the RGB functionality. If you plug the RGB connector into a motherboard header, you will kill the LEDs.

Fan hub is the wrong name, he needs the Lighting Node Pro and the RGB Hub. A fan hub means it actually powers/controls the fans, which isn't what he needs. Plus it would suck if he googled Corsair fan hub and bought the wrong thing lol.
