Hey! I'm thinking of buying a new SSD to add to my pc for faster load times in games. Will I need to backup my whole OS and pc if I just want to install games on it or can I just plug it in and install stuff on it?

I simply have a WD Blue 1TB Hardrive with basically everyhting on it (OS, games, etc.)
Just to add an SSD (or any other drive), you don't need to do anything with the current drive.

For your Steam games, you can have them on whichever drive you choose.
Steam games location
In the steam client:
Steam

Downloads
Steam Library Folders
Add library folder
