Hello!
I had just bought a new graphics card and installed it on my computer using a 6 pin power connector that's connected to my psu.
I immediately noticed that when playing games at its normal standard, the computer will suddenly go black for an instant then go back to normal, playing for a longer period of time makes these black screens more frequent until about 30 minutes in where the entire computer just becomes unresponsive.
I suspect that it may be because of either insufficient power from psu or not enough power going through that 6 pin power connector(if that even is a thing).
My PSU is sufficient enough to run the graphics card according to forums.
Furthermore, when I lower the settings and power usage of my graphics card to using ThunderMaster(a programme that comes with the card),the pc works fine even after long hours of playing OW(but it isn't running at its optimal speed).
Running very demanding games will cause it to crash suddenly too.
Any recommendations on what to do?
Old Graphics card:Geforce GTX 745 4GB
New Graphics Card: Palit Nvidia GeForce Gtx 1060 6gb Super Jetstream
Recommended Power requirement: 400W
My PSU:FSP 500-50AAGA(gold) (should be 500 W)
Com Specs:
Acer Predator G3-605
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 @ 3.60GHz, 3601Mhz,4 core(s)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb
1x 8GB kingston DDR3 RAM
2x 4GB Kingston DDR3 RAM
Any help is appreciated!!Will provide as much assistance as possible.
