Question Do I need to get a new motherboard for this upgrade or should I be fine?

I currently have a amd ryzen 3 1200, and for my birthday I will be getting a ryzen 5 2600x, But my ryzen 3 currently is 1st generation and the ryzen 5 is a 2nd generation

The 2nd gen Ryzen's that you're looking at are power hungry, I'd advise in you getting a B450 chipset board with a good VRM area loadout on the board.
