Do I need to keep this folder?

Hello. About a year ago my amd gpu died and I upgraded to a nvidia card. I still have an amd folder that is quite sizeable in my c drive and was wondering if I still need it. I do however have an amd fx 6300 cpu so it might be for that.

If those are the only contents, then they belong to your Radeon Graphics Card. Catalyst and Crimson are Radeon gpu drivers and usually have nothing to do with the cpu. And as far as i can see, most of the files contain those names.

I just read that the contents of C:/AMD and C:/Nvidia are just leftover install files. Do you think this is the case here?

In the image you have pasted, all the files belong to your AMD Radeon driver as i mentioned earlier. I dont see any NVidia files in there. So you can delete that folder.
But if you have an NVidia card installed currently, you should not mess with any NVidia file or folder.
