So I've bought a: Gigabyte B850 GAMING X WIFI6E (Socket AM5) DDR5 ATX Motherboard.

I've a 9800X3D which is supported also ordered, do I need to update the BIOS to support it?

The Gigabyte website says that it is supported since BIOS Version F1, is this the first BIOS or would there be a BIOS F0 for instance?

Just asking as I believe the motherboard came out before the 9800X3D.

At the time of writing, even if your motherboard comes shipped with BIOS version F1(which is the first release of BIOS for the board), you're good to drop the 9800X3D onto the socket.

If I were you, I would still flash the BIOS using the button on the back of the board;

different chipsetted board but the principle remains the same.
