do i need to upgrade my cpu

I have a intel core i5-6600 cpu and a gtx 980 ti graphics card.So is my cpu bottlenecking the performance of my gpu, do i need to upgrade it with the latest 7th gen.

Is it bottlenecking in some games at 1080p? Probably. Is it worth upgrading? Absolutely not. Kaby Lake are the Skylake chips with slightly higher clocks.

thanks, i was just asking because in some benchmarks i saw online gtx 980 ti performed better then mine does.

In some new games that use more than 4 threads it will, but from a price to performance standpoint it's not at all worth it

I don't think you need an cpu upgrade because you have a nice spec.
