[SOLVED] Do I need to upgrade my PC?

Hello, I had my PC since 2019. I play at 1080p off a SSD. So far most current and older games run just fine. But I'm concerned about future games coming out this year and beyond. So is my PC still good for gaming or is a upgrade needed?

My Specs;

CPU is the intel i5 9400f 6core/6thread
GPU is the GTX 1660 6GB
RAM is 8GB DDR4 Memory
STORAGE is 480GB SSD
PSU is EVGA 600 WATT PSU
DISPLAY is a 1080p 32inch

The reason for my question is due to elden ring, the minimum requires 12 gb ram, i5 8400 and a 1060 3gb while recommend requires 16gb, i7 8700k and a 1070 8gb.

You need to upgrade your PC only when it no longer does what you want it to do.

Worry about performance with future games....in the future.

Elden Ring launches in 10 days. At that time, you'll either be able to tell for yourself if your system is good enough, or find out from reviews.

Most of your setup is still good. However 8 Gb RAM is a bit low now, I would strongly suggest upgrading to 16 Gb.

There are some titles where a more powerful CPU would be better, Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk for example. However it's a fairly well balanced nice little system, if your happy with how your computer is right now, just enjoy it. You can worry about the demands of future games when you play them.

Unless you've got a problem with a game right now, upgrading probably won't impress you.
