I recently purchased an Acer Aspire M5 TouchScreen ultrabook. It has a 500 GB Hybrid 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with a 20 GB SSD with Windows 8. Well I hated Windows 8 and intalled Ubuntu 12.10. Shortly afterwards I wanted to try Linux Mint14 however after installing Ubuntu I couldn't get the laptop to boot up to the cd or usb. I changed the boot order and finally installed LM 14 however when I restart I can't get back into my desktop unless I switch from UEFI to legacy bios. Do I need UEFI? Oh, does the Linux install take advantage of the 20gb ssd?
