Do I really need an AVR?

Good day!

I just bought a Seasonic M12II 620W 80 + Bronze Full Modular PSU last week and I'm planning to pair it up with an AVR. But I was able to read a thread about AVRs and someone answered that...

"If your psu has a full range ac input like 100v-200v, you dont necessarily need an AVR."

Then I immediately rechecked the specs and features of the psu I bought. It has full range ac input of 100v-240v.

Is that true?

Are you on 110 or 220 volt service ? With 220v service a lot of undervoltage is tolerated but on 110v there's no much leeway.

I'm from the Philippines. 220v 60Hz service here.

You likely do not need an AVR line conditioner.

If you do consider getting a UPS that also does line conditioning (e.g. APC APC Back-UPS Pro 700VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector BR700G)
