Do I really need fan filters for my computer?

Solution
As for whether filters would be easy to install in your case; since the case has some oddly shaped intakes, the only option I've found that seems feasible would be custom fit filters. The ones I found are magnetic, so they should stay in place nicely.

You would really only need them on the fans pulling air into your case, though, so any exhaust fans could remain unfiltered.

As for whether the filters restrict air flow; I'm sure they do a little, but as long as you clean them regularly it won't be much of an issue. The dust getting into your case would be a bigger problem than having the filters installed. Installing them on your exhaust fans would be more of a hindrance, however...

I have an NZXT case Phantom 410

if I should have fan filters, are they easy to install? what's the best brand?

I took a look at your build and I'm impressed. Are dual monitors worth it? I use my computer for gaming/facebook/internet/netflix. Should I upgrade my RAM from 8 to 16 GB ?

The dust getting into your case would be a bigger problem than having the filters installed. Installing them on your exhaust fans would be more of a hindrance, however, because it would restrict the air flow more, and basically would only trap any dust that did make it into the case on the inside, instead of letting it out. So again, only put the filters on your intake fans.

I love having dual monitors; I can game with tutorials or walkthroughs open on my second screen, or system monitors to make sure my temps are good. It also helps for when I work from home and need multiple documents open at once (or Netflix, but don't tell my boss!). I wouldn't say they're necessary to have, but I could never go back to just one monitor now that I've had two.

16GB of RAM really isn't necessary for most things at this point. I put it in thinking that it would be helpful, but I rarely see more than 5-6GB in use even while gaming with several tabs open in Chrome and various other things running in the background. 8GB should be more than enough unless you do a lot of video editing or graphic design, or maybe AutoCAD drawings.

i would buy a 1 gallon air compressor with an air nozzle attachment, for 50 - 60 bucks. makes cleaning computers a lot easier and you can use the compressor for other things as well.

haha,I got that too.
