Do i the appropriate amount of PSU for a GTX 1060

I want to buy a GTX 1060 this black Friday but I'm not sure if I have enough PSU for it. It says that the GTX 1060 need 450 W and I have 500 w.
these are my spec if they help.
12GB DDR4-2133 (1x8GB+1x4GB)
1 SSD
windows 7 pro
6th gen i7-6700

What exact PSU is it? A PSU has more to it than raw wattage, for example your 500W might not have enough ampere on the 12V rail, that means it can't run the GPU.

But yeah, make and model on the PSU would help.

It has enough power, but i'm not too sure about the general quality of the PSU.
If you can afford it, get something like a Seasonic S12II 620W for $50. Worth every penny and you can use it safely for over 5 years forward.
