[citation][nom]jonpaul37[/nom]Oooooh, name calling, lookout for the badassery folks! I yield!Get over yourself pal, we shouldn't be catering to people who spend $1,500.00 on a proprietary piece of hardware with almost no option to upgrade, but when they can, they want to save a couple bucks? That's like buying an Aston Martin and when it's time to get new brakes, they go to Pep Boys... Good Talk, thanks for coming in today, we're all counting on you...[/citation]
For most people computers are just another commodity. ...another toaster. Apple adds some shinyness to the toaster that I supppose may add to the decor. ...the decorative commodity. You can always find a cheaper toaster that will still toast your bread. Some techy types may even prefer to build their toasters. However, most people aren't gonna do that and those with disposable income tend to like shiny and slick in their kitchens. ...there's nothing wrong with a company catering to those folks with products like the iMac. Some people don't want the most economical option, nor do they need to seek it, nothing wrong with that.
This is a good article and its on an appropriate website...good job Ben. An iMac just doesn't fulfill the geek in me...for that I prefer the Mac Pro and my gaming rig. Good thing I'm not a representation of much of the populace.
