So I just built a mean rig past month & Im planning on ordering another set of ram sticks for a 32 gig setup. Question is does the model # matter when it comes to ram?

This is what I went with & is what Im running in my rig.

This is what I was thinking of buying.

Does model acutally matter? The only difference I see between the 2 is that one says "AMD Ryzen Compatible"(Running a 3700X)
So does it matter if I go with the cheaper one or should I just stick to the same model #?

Mixing RAM is always a crapshoot.
Even of the same "model number", there is no guarantee of functionality.

If you wish to have 32GB RAM, buy a 32GB set.
Not 16GB now and 16GB later.
Interesting. I wasnt aware of this. Thanks for the clarification. I'll stick to 16. All I do is gaming with my PC so I guess there is no real point. Thanks again
