Do most motherboard manuals tell you what pins are what on the motherboard when it comes to plugging in your case wires like LED lights, sound, etc?

The last motherboard I had didn't come with anything of the sort and I was left wondering what pins were what.

Also just in case the manual I get doesn't come with anything that explains it, anyone know where I could find a guide

Manuals for retail boards usually do show what pins to use for the front panel(power, hdd led, reset, etc), OEM boards however can be very difficult to find pinouts for especially those that use proprietary connectors. Some motherboard also have those pins labeled on the motherboard. If the board doesn't come with a manual(usually they do) you can usually download one from the manufactures website.

Looking through the manual for a Gigabyte Z370 motherboard that arrived in the mail just today...It gives a very detailed IPB(*) of What goes where.

* IPB = Illustrated Parts Breakdown.

Thanks!
