Do motherboard MS 7336 supports Core 2 Duo e8400?

Hey there,
I wanted to know whether my motherboard would support my cpu. I am Currently having MS 7336 v1.0 ( i know its pretty old :/) and i bought this processor - core 2 duo E8400 Lga775( which supports same socket..). I read somewhere that my motherboard would support cpu's upto Core 2 duo e6700.
But again , e8400 supports lga 775.

I have GT610 2gb gpu and 2gb ddr2 .. i am not a hardcore gamer so i wanted to build a medium pc for casual gaming.

The board would have been released before the E8400s came onto the market, hence it not being mentioned in the CPU support list.
The only sure way to know would be to test it.
Having said that, according to Intel's info on the 946GZ Express chipset that the board uses, the E8400 would not be supported.

The motherboard is too old to support it. The socket isn't the only criteria; the chipset and BIOS also need to support the CPU.

Sorry, but no, not even a BIOS update will help.
As mentioned, the chipset does not support it.
