Every single time windows installs updates while shutting down it says not to turn off or switch power.

Why does it say not to switch power?
Lets say i'm shutting down my laptop as i am done with my work and my battery is low.
And bam!!! Windows is installing updates. Now it says not to switch power from dc to ac.

So my questions are
1. Why does it say so
2. Whats the way around it

Not all updates require a reboot, but if it does, sometimes the file it needs to replace is in use by the OS. On shutdown, windows will modify the registry notifying it that this file needs moved in place upon next reboot. Upon reboot, you will see the screen say "installing updates" before you get to the login screen, at least in Vista and 7. XP just installs it silently on next reboot.
