Do sound drivers work with everything?

So i got a a new motherboard (Gigabyte X99-UD3) and downloaded its drivers. The sound is suppose to be "better" and "higher quality" but for me it sounds like shit. (sound blaster recon 3di) can i download, install and use other that kind of programs and what can i use?

No software is going to make your sound card sound better, you can play around with the equalizer to suit the sound to your liking but if the sound card is bad to your ears then no software or driver will fix that.

It also depends on your speakers as well. Are you using the sound software that came with Gigabyte? I would install that. That marketing is in a perfect world. you will have to do some tweaking.

I downloaded the drivers from the CD that i got with the mobo, and they were kind of bad, i uninstalled them and restarted my pc. then i searched for my mobo and new kind of drivers came out. they were not from the same company. and downloaded, installed them, now it sounds good and works

Well as long as it works, then it works. You probably got the vendor drivers, and not the one from Gigabyte.
