Hey guys,

Have been going through a number of fans and fan configurations to put inside my 900d case and have come up with this so far (see bellow)...
Front: 3x noctua nf-f12 ppc 2000 pwm (intake)
Back: 1x noctua nf-a14 ppc 2000 pwm (intake)
Top: 1x EK-coolstream 480mm quad radiator with 4x Vardar f4-120mmER (exhaust)

This is my first PC build, so I'm using a water cooling system to cool the CPU (intel I7 4790k) and GPU (Ge Force Titan x) so those noctuas may be a bit too much!!!

If you could give me your opinions and advice on fan choice as well as fan setup and config for the best possible airflow I'd appreciate it, though keep in mind I'm not too keen on replacing the vardar fans!!!
Cheers...

Hey! There is no such phrase as "over the top" in a PC enthusiasts vocabulary! 😀 Three of those industrial Noctuas as intakes will move a ton of air into your case, so go with the low noise/RPM first. Keep an eye on your temps if things get a little hot raise speeds up a bit till you find a sweet spot for noise and cooling efficiency. It may take a little tweaking but its great when you get them synced perfect. You have the best fans for the job!
Good set up but yes, the back fan should be an exhaust. Also the NF-F12's are for generally for heatsinks and radiators. They have a high static pressure (pushing force). It wouldn't matter much, but just letting you know.

The NF-S12's move a higher volume of air compared to F12's and thats what you need for case fans, a decent amount of fresh air flowing into the case. If you are spending a substantial amount on top of the range Noctuas then it would be good to get the right ones for the money 😀

I would have mate but these fans are the industrialppc version of the noctua nf fans with a max rpm of 2000 instead of 1200, so the nf-S12's don't exist!!!
Also, don't hesitate to tell me that I'm going a bit over the top!!!
So what do you think of the fans now?
Cheers...

Cheers for the advice, though what rpm would you recommend me running the fans at to make it as airflow efficient as well decently quiet???
