Question do usb hubs allow data transfer?

trying to hook up an axiom air 32 mini keyboard and a studio mic to my pc, but the cables are too short. so i'm looking for something to extend the cables with. the keyboard does require data transfer though.

To your question...yes, a USB hub allows data transfer. Wouldn't be much good if it didn't.
