Do VRAM textures get rendered on screen only or around environment

IS 128mb VRAM enough for ps3 quality graphics?

EG What you see on your screen only or even behind character / out of view

128MB?! Not even close. That's the amount of VRAM video cards had in 2003, so over 10 years old.

Even the lowest end current cards have 1GB now.
