do we need to have a bluetooth receiver/some gadget, while using a wireless game controller to play a desktop game

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a wireless game controller, for playing games installed in my Desktop machine. Since I don't have a bluetooth/wifi connection in desktop, I wanted to confirm if any device like tht needs to be bought
or
the game controller will have some device in the package, which can be used to connect PC and controller.

For a xbox controller, you need to get a usb wifi adpater thing

You need to check with your specific controller to determine what it needs. The XBox 360 controller may need a special adapter. I am not sure what technology the PS4 controller uses. Do a search on the internet for connecting your chosen console's wireless controller to a PC and the information should be easy to find.

If it is a non-console controller, it should say on the packaging if it needs an adapter.
