[SOLVED] Do wireless headsets make use of sound cards?

I am looking to improve my audio quality, will my Wireless headset make use of a sound card ? Does it even use the one on my motherboard? (ALC 892).

Sorry, I am huge noob when it comes to this. I mean, in my head the audio gets processed by the designated sound card (integrated of dedicated) and then sends it to the USB reciever, but I'm not sure it works like this.

The headset does not come with its own "sound card", just the wireless reciever.

If it is not directly connected to the sound card, it is not using it.

Sound cards increase audio performance for analog devices plugged directly into the card itself, that means no USB or wireless benefits, since they convert and handle audio on their own, either in adapter or on headset.
