I am curious to see if you guys think I would need any extra fans for my setup that already doesn't come with the case. I did get an extra 120mm fan already which I plan on putting on the pivoting section of the Phantom case to help cool the GPU and possibly CPU.

EDIT: I will not be overclocking my setup anytime soon. I most likely will do that a 2 years from now though.

My build:

CPU: i7 4790k ( I know this is overkill but got it during Black Friday for a nice price; this computer is for gaming primarily).

I would say yes, I hated the fans that my Phantom came with back when I had it. Do you NEED new fans? No, but some nicer fans would help quiet the whole rig down and keep it cooler. But that cpu will not overheat with the 212 evo and the 970's run cool.

Hmmmm, well that certainly isn't nice to hear. I really don't care about the noise level all that much but I do care about keeping it cool. What fans did you trade the stock ones out for? And what kind of case do you have now?

I wanted to get the 760T Corsair but they were sold out when I ordered all of my stuff so went with the Phantom.

I've been through several fans, Right now I have jetflow 120's in my case, which is a corsair air 540. I love the case, the unobstructed airflow is amazing, I can keep my OC'd 295x2 and 290x both below 70's. Granted the jetflows push a crazy amount of air and make a lot of noise at 100% but still.
I really liked my corsair SP quiet edition fans, great performance for the price/noise level. I know a lot of people love the NZXT phantom, I just wasn't one of them, and found myself unhappy with it fairly quickly.
