Question Motherboard doesn’t have 24 pin slot

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

my motherboard doesn’t have a 24 pin slot for the new power supply i bought
That's because the motherboard's power input is proprietary. You're going to need a custom made harness/adapter for you to work with an off the shelf ATX power supply and that HP prebuilt.

What do I do?
It’s an hp intel i5

What is the model and SKU for your HP prebuilt?

Moved thread from Motherboards section to Prebuilt & Enterprise section.

Plenty of the off the shelf adapters for this very reason. Just need to know the exact motherboard to make a recommendation.

I have made my own adapter for a Dell in the past, but it does take some patience and having the right tools and mindset. Or you can spend like $15 on an adapter, often slow shipped from China. Or pay a small premium and get them from websites like moddiy.com

If that is an HP 8300:
