I've been eyeing this monitor for about 3 months and about to go in before i change my mind and get a 4k tv lol. monitor is rated good. ips, 4ms(gaming and looks good), 144hrz, gsync, adjustable so you can keep that curve in your neck, and is pwm free(good on eyes).

only issue is it's 750$ and i dont think it's 4k(which i think a 4k monitor like that would be like over a grand easy lol). just wondering if you think these are over priced or not. :)

It isn't overpriced.
It has an IPS panel, a high refresh rate, and great colours.

If you want an example of overpriced, look at the PG278Q/PG279Q. Asus over-advertises those monitors during Esports events and pass them off as what the pros use, hiking up the price and having VERY poor quality control, with backlight bleed on panels being very common.

The Acer is much better in this respect, as it is almost exactly the same as the PG279Q, but with imo a nicer look and better QC.
DO NOT get a 4k TV, TVs have high input lag due to the fact that they are meant for viewing purposes over gaming.
If you are going 4k get the XB271HK, which is a G-Sync 60Hz monitor.
The experience is very poor right now, and it is still a stuttery nightmare maxed for the most part, so unless something like the 1080ti comes out, don't bother going 4k, as it is still limited to 60Hz.
Meanwhile a 1440p 144hz monitor such as the one you have listed is the sweet spot for gaming right now.
It offers the best gaming experience while futureproofing you for a long time.
I own one of these and love it to death, no regrets whatsoever.
If it is money that you are not sure you can spend however, hold out for now as long as you have something like a 1080p 144hz monitor on hand to tide you over, and that you have sufficient hardware to run it well.
The min I would recommend is 980ti level performance for 1440p 144hz.
I recommend this monitor 100% of the way, but it is all based on your economic situation and what you think you can afford to spend.

Let me know if you have any concerns.
Cheers.

I saw both XB271HU and PG279Q in person in an exhibition last november, and I can confirm that, after looking at them, I prefer XB271HU over PG279Q.

The difference in IPS glow between the monitors is quite dramatic, I found that I saw less glow on a completely dark background on the XB271HU (which would make the glow more prominent) than I did on PG279Q when I was looking at a black area of the screen that was surrounded by white (which should make the glow less obvious). If I didn't already have a PG278Q, I would have considered the XB271HU as one of the few direct replacement candidates for PG278Q (I am exceptionally picky about IPS glow, which makes me far more tolerant to TN panels than a lot of the die hard 'TN-must-die' crowd, and I don't game competitively, thus I very rarely consider any IPS panel to be 'direct replacement' for a good TN panel).
