Installed components:
Motherboard: Abit Ab9 QuadGT
CPU: E6600
When I try to power on it acts as if there is a short somewhere. The fans quiver and that's it. It gives a post code error of 8.3 and then 3 seconds later it shows 8.2
I have cleared the CMOS, tried 2 different power supplies which work fine with my asus board, attempted to power it on outside of chasis on anti-static plastic. Full 24pin power is plugged as well as the cpu power. It wouldn't do this because of having no memory installed, would it?
I have tried two of these boards. Both of them do the exact same thing. Not much of a chance for both being DOA right?
Thanks for your time.
