I would like to know if the 3d settings which are in nvidia control panel intervene with my in game settings? I mean if for example i put HBAO ambient occlusion in assassins creed syndicate in game settings ... meanwhile in nvidia control panel in 3d settings it says under global settings ambient occlusion - OFF ... does that mean that Im not actually getting that HBAO ambient occlusion in the ac syndicate game? Cuz I cant find a way to disable that 3d settings in nvidia control panel!

Thank you for all answers :)

easy answer for ya. the first thing you can choose on the left side of the nvidia control panel, "adjust image settings with preview", make sure "let the 3d application decide" is selected below the preview. if it is, nothing set in your nvidia settings will affect the game. only the games native settings that are set within the game's options will matter.
The Nvidia control panel(and AMD's for that matter) is designed to enhance and over-ride game settings. Unfortunately for it does not always work.

The drivers have settings per game. Ambient Occlusion has a compatibility setting built into the drivers(and seems to be disabled from the drivers) for that game. That may be why you are not seeing any options. Nvidia will try to hide or disable settings that will not work right on a certain game.

3rd party software like Nvidia inspector will open up all kinds of options, but setting the wrong ones may cause issues.

Im sorry but I didnt understand you at all! How do I make it so that I decide everything with my IN GAME settings .. and not the ones in 3d settings in nvidia control panel? What do i do? Because I tryed to completely disable 3d settings but there is not such an option! Pls help .. thanks

I think you just didnt understand me and my question! I havent touched anything in the 3d settings in nvidia control panel! They are at default and I would just like to be sure that if i set the ambient occlusion for example or the anti aliasing ..doesnt matter which .. lets say ambient occulusion i put to HBAO in a game .. in the game settings i mean .. i apply and i play the game.. But when I go to nvidia control panel and manage 3d settings .. under global settings .. it says AMBIENT OCCLUSION - OFF ! And i just want to be sure that im getting an actual hbao ambient occlusion in the game when i set the ao to hbao in the in game settings!

Yes, but for example ambient occlusion doesnt have that setting! It has only OFF , QUALITY , PERFORMANCE options!
Anti aliasing fxaa for example also doesnt have that option!! ??
