Question Does a 3 pin cpu cooler in a 4 pin motherboard cause problems?

Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a DeepCool cooler for my g1820 processor since the stock cooler got somewhat broken. I'm wondering if there could be issues if I was to get a socket 1150 aftermarket cooler with 3 pins compared to the stock one which had 4 pins.
My motherboard is an ASUS H81M-R, not the newest one out there.
And sorry if I sound like a newbie, I'm not really an expert when it comes to tech haha.

4 pin allows for the use of PWM, which allows you to adjust the fan speed without changing the voltage.
With a 3 pin you can still change fan speed, but less precisely and less efficiently. Also with 3 pin setting a slow fan speed may result in the fans not spinning. 4 pin can turn the fan down very slow before it stops spinning.
