with motherboards you cant tell from the specs which is better you need to look at other people reviews/ratings ASUS and MSI are more reliable brands honestly is hard to tell i saw that MSI one has allot of ratings and for ASUS one few of my friends have it and dont have any problems but that doesnt mean that Biostar motherboard is bad

for i3 4130 but it may work with i3 4160 if it was made not long ago so you are basically gambling. wil you get the board that was made 1 month ago or the one that was sitting on the shelf for 8 months

[strike]Ok bud, no it isn't. On full load, your pc will draw 705w, your power supply can't supply 705w, it is only a 630w power supply, and it isn't by corsair. Not everything by Corsair is good either, lot's of their cheaper PSU's are rebrands of cheaper ones. Even getting a power supply that barely meets the requirements is asking for a dead psu, if it is constantly running at almost full load (the power supply) it is almost guaranteed to die. You are not gonna have a working computer if you buy that power supply, bud. It will shut down as soon as you start up a game. Then it will most likely die, and possibly kill one of your components.[/strike]
Nevermind, someone with actual brains fixed your build. Crossfire 280x's on a shitty 630w psu would have never worked, but your current build looks good to go.

yeah ur right. i just wanna get the micro atx board cause its like 20-30 dollars cheaper and im kind of on a budget. i do wanna keep the 4160 also

for i3 4130 but it may work with i3 4160 if it was made not long ago so you are basically gambling. wil you get the board that was made 1 month ago or the one that was sitting on the shelf for 8 months so if its been sitting on the shelf for 8 months than yes it will need BIOS update for i3 4160 to work but if it was made 1 month agoe than no

how can you tell when it was made then? srry i dont know much about this stuff. i just wanted to get the micro atx cause its like 20-30 dollars cheaper but i still wanna keep the 4160 and i dont know how to update bios or anything like that. i dont wanna have any problems with the build u know.

but if you buy it from store like newegg that sells alot of parts you will probably get the one that wasnt made long ago maybe look for one that had couple of ratings lately so if they had some old stock the got rid of it (they sold it to them) dont know if you can add note when ordering from newegg if you can write that if they can please give you board that they got not long ago because you will be using intel refresh CPU

so ur saying that lga1150 for the 4160 would need a bios update??

how do u upgrade bios if u just built a new computer? also how would i tell if i need to update?

you will need cpu that isnt refresh version and than you can follow this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPKx8a96fwI
Just checked when was BIOS for MSI board released BIOS for MSI board that supports i3 4160 was Released 2014-07-03 thats almost 8 months ago so i would say that possibility of you getting board with old BIOS is almost zero

I hope i am getting best answer after all this effort 😀 lol

oh ok so u said that about 8 months ago they released the new bios version that supports 4160? how did u figure that out?

and yes u get best answer lol just tell me how to pick ur answer as the best one cause i dont know how to do it.

yes if you would get one with the old BIOS you would need download the latest one and than follow the video i poste above. but i think its impossible to get board with old BIOS since the BIOS update was so long ago

yeah i saw the update version of the date u told me it said something like "increased cpu compatiblity" but how can u tell which cpus it made compatible

i dont see the 4160 under the compatibility list. and i swear i dont see the green button under ur posts
