Does a click switch need a router

Solution
Unless your ISP has assigned you multiple IP addresses to use with your modem (you'd know because you'd have paid extra for it), you need a router to plug multiple devices into a modem. If you try to connect multiple devices to the modem via a switch, the first device will get Internet access, the rest will not (in fact the rest probably won't even get LAN access).

OK..so it's a 'click switch', because it can click into a wall mounted bracket.
Other than that, it is a normal 16 port switch.

Now, to your "modem".
Is this a modem, or a modem/router?
Make/model of this, and how many ports are on the back of this?
