Does a keyboard and mouse have to be from same MFG?

I am looking at getting a new gaming keyboard and mouse.

As far as importing game profiles and programming buttons, is it best to stay with the same manufacturer for both devices?

Nope, at very best you'll cut down on driver software for each device but that's it. Having different manufacturers will have no impact on how they run

It doesn't matter what you get. There won't be any added bonuses if you use the same brands. Some brands make better keyboards than their mouses and some brands make better mice than their keyboards.
