Yesterday I was working through problems I was having on this thread https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...ir-is-being-pulled-out.3884971/#post-23527440

I ended up deciding to change out my PSU. Everything was working normally, after confirming the cables were properly attached. I then cable managed as well as fixed my AIO RGB not turning on.

Now my screen is just showing black and I’m getting either a white motherboard light or a yellowish green light and the white one. I should note after reseating my gpu I got stuck on an orange light prompting me to reseat my ram in different slots. The orange light is gone now.

Please help!

If I remember correctly the max temp was 83C for 900 series cards.
So you are at the overheat limit.
So it looks like you may need to re-paste and change the pads on the memory and VRM.
The core temp may be fine but memory and VRM are just as important.
Either overheating will cause your problem.
Or it could be as simple as pulling the shroud and fan and cleaning the dust from the heatsink , especially if you have the FE model with the blower style setup.

It’s an Evga 2.1 acx (just incase it comes up).
I suspect it is the vram, it seems underclocking the ram changed the scenario the most. I do appreciate the sanity check. I was hoping to upgrade the gpu/PSU soon anyways.

I realized I was stupid and was plugging the wrong hdmi cable in causing the boot error. (I think). Right now I’m running the old PSU and gaming to confirm it’s working normally. before I switch back to the new PSU.

I appreciate the reply. That’s the answer I was hoping it would be and someone else gave the same answer in the last thread

Edit it was just that hdmi cable all is fine and new PSU is in
