Hi all, does all ram can OC?, coz someone said non-OC Ram somehow put to my head that there is two types of ram non-OC and can OC. please enlighten me thans!!!
X370 is better for OC, due to better VRM
APU's GPU rely on RAM bandwidth, unless you are going to dedicated gpu, get a higher memory RAM, but getting anywhere higher than 2000Mhz is not noticeable
this is not true if you are going for Ryzen build, where higher speed RAM boosts the Ryzen's performance
OCing RAM above their supported speed is not guaranteed, but yes they all can be OCed, with some tweak on voltage
RAM freq stays at the maximum base speed that both support without OC,
Why you need to OC the RAM anyway?
All PC memory can be overclocked to a extent it might just be getting tighter timings depends on the motherboard and some store bought PC's have locked BIOS.. I would not try to overclock anything on a Laptop.

actually i have msi b350 bazooka board and XMP is not supported. I have a8 9600 so i can upgrade for the future (ryzen), i want to OC to maximize the capability of my a8 coz i red that APU rely on RAM so ill tweak for a little bit. I guess OC in my ram for now is impossible coz iGPU using my ram as sharedmem. im thinking this is the reason why my XMP is no supported? ill let you know after i borrow my friends ryzen and put it on my system

That is not really true any of it.
A X370 board is not really needed since the Am4 hits a OC wall in the 4.0 area.
Faster memory helps the video and CPU performance.

What is the exact memory your using.
For gaming you would of been better off buying a Ryzen CPU and a cheap GTX 1030 card with plans to upgrade the card later.

Hi im using avexir 8gb 2400mhz. actually my budget is not enough for now so I temporary buy APU, so buy march i can upgrade to ryzen and gtx 1050 if i can.
