Question Does an 180 ppi OLED display offer good text clarity?

I just started my PhD and I'm looking for a notebook with good text clarity. I've never had a good experience with IPS and PLS panels as the glow strains my eyes.
I heard that the triangular subpixel layout of OLEDs makes the text look bad. Is a high ppi going to make up for it?

You mentioned the PPI number yet you didn't mention the resolution at which the panel will be running. This might be a good read. I will argue though that your prior outing with your previous panels might have something to do with not having optimal settings or your drivers were probably off.
