Question Does anyone have a step -by-step guide for setting up Nextcloud on TrueNas scale version ElectricEal-24.10.1 ?

I've done a lot of research but seem to only come across outdated guides. if anyone here is able to help or guide me it would be much appreciated, thank you.

Suggest that you post more details and include whatever information you can about the problems being encountered.

What works, what doesn't work, error messages, etc.?

What guides have you found?

Apologies, so I configured nextcloud app on truenas and when I go to enter the ip info in nextcloud it redirects me back to truenas login

Not sure about the configuration process being attempted.

One thought being that the configuration process is being done (or being attempted) via a some login account at Nextcloud.

Versus directly into TrueNAS using a browser on your computer. No need for Nextcloud.
