Question Does anyone have experience with the Intel Arc A770?

If so how does it fare from the 3070 or the RX 6700 / 6800X? I'm kind of curious to try it given the lower price but I am aware of the driver issues and other drawbacks. But is it exactly what the reviews say it is or is it something I should ignore and just go for a 3070?

I would not be interested in trying a first generation dedicated GPU from anyone. Both AMD and Nvidia are a known quantity with wide user base and exceptional support. The Intel GPU is basically you being a test bunny while they try to work things out on a platform that based on popularity probably isn't going anywhere.

Yeah that is a good point. It is a first gen GPU. I think I'll pass and stick with getting a 3070.

i like the idea of it as well, but will wait for a gen or 2 and see what happens with them.

for the money i'm looking at the 6700 or 6800 variants. i just don't personally see the value in the 3000 series with the much higher prices.

I agree. I think value for money is the 6700xt-6900xt. The 6700xt for example can be had for 369 on Newegg. The cheapest 3070 sold by newegg is about 529 unless you are looking at refurbished units. Can’t recommend them for that.
