Question Does anyone know how the Ooma Telo 2 communicates between the base and the handset?

The system connects to my router via wifi and I was hoping that it would use wifi for connectivity between the base and the handsets. I have a mesh network that covers my house and yard well, but I seem to have some deadspots with the handsets in places where I have solid wifi connectivity.

If it's not on the wifi for handset connectivity, any idea what the range is for the handsets to communicate with the base?

Thanks.

Base-to-handset communication has nothing to do with WiFi (IEE 812.xxx), even if it uses "same" 2.4GHz band. The handset(s) don't connect to the base over WiF, but over proprietary (or standard DECT) protocol.

Check the band where this communication takes place. And try to free it (that is, to disable) 2.4GHz band on your router if all devices you use support 5GHz band.
