Does anyone know if the R9 380 will xfire with the 285?

In their experience of using past cards (HD series into the R series),does anyone think that the 380 will crossfire with the 285? The NCIX video review showed me that they are basically the same card and that the 380 will be better priced. If they can and they 380 is less expensive than the 285 is,even by a little,I would just get a 380. Does anyone think they could? I mean, they are both Tonga GPU and have nearly identical specs.

Edit: come to think of it,with DX12 being able to use anything GPU wise in your system as one,I could probably get a 4GB 380 and possibly get a 390 and still use it with my 285. I forgot about what DX12 is supposed to do,apparently.

Solution
Supposedly the exact same GPU, so I don't see why not. DX12 has a lot of hype associated with. Game developers actually have to implement it before you will see any benefit.

yeah,I know. They need to make use of those features in game. According to what I have heard,a DX12 game can use my 285 and my APU's R7 at the same time too,so I look forward to seeing a difference there some how, maybe. Add maybe another 285 or the 380 and supposedly be even better. I am only worrying if two cards is too much for my APU to handle, bandwidth wise. I hate the term bottleneck,as most use it without knowing what it really is. I know the 7850K can handle a single 780 and probably a 980 too,so my 285 is no issue, but I am not sure about 2 of them. I am more wanting to save my money and see what Zen is going to be like anyway. I want to see a six core APU with R7 370 class GPU on it. With DX12's ability to use multiple GPU's.as long as a game supports it (I see no reason why any game dev wouldn't use it),I feel APU's will suddenly find themselves more openly used as another GPU to add more gaming muscle on top of discreet cards. If its at the cost of 2 CPU cores or whatever kind of HT variant AMD will employ, both of which are not as important in gaming as more GPU's can be,I think they will be more important,as long as the single core performance is good. I digress though,I will want to see actual proof someone using a 285 and a 380 together in crossfire, sans DX12.

Edit: I just read the Toms review of the MSI 300 series cards. I have to say I am disappointed. Just another rebrand. If I can indeed use a 380 with my 285 in xfire with DX11,I may pick one up,unless I can find another 285 for cheap some where. I will more likely save up for Zen next year and see what the 400 series are going to be like when it comes out, supposedly next year as well. I am hoping that AMD moves the first gen HBM to the more mainstream cards and uses the higher end second gen HBM on the top line cards. I would love to pick up a 200 dollar card with 4GB of HBM.If I get another card anytime soon,it will be a deal with a 285 or 380. Thanks everyone.
