Hey all,

The title might be a bit long, but that is the best way to describe it.

Currently im rocking the amazing microsoft ergonomic for buisness keyboard:

https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-LX...05993395&sprefix=microsoft+erg,aps,228&sr=8-3

Which is a followup to the microsoft natural ergonomic 4000 keyboard (i had that one before, but it broke down)

However, I do miss a feature which most non split gaming keyboards do have, lightning on the buttons (to see in the dark). And as I like bells and whistles like rgb etc, I was wondering if is a keyboard that can be bought that is a split keyboard, and that is made for gaming and typing, with lightning and preferably rgb as well?

If there are good split keyboards that have lightning but without rgb, please let me know as well, as especially the lightning option is something i miss on this keyboard.

Thank you very much in advance

Split style keyboard as you've so mentioned above, which isn't actually the right term, more like an ergonomic placement for keys, does exist but they cost more than an arm and a leg. They are also just bells and whistles, they do not do anything to enhance your gaming sessions or your winning streak.

Start by looking here.

Part of the reason they are expensive is due to the fact that they are mechanical keyboards and the switches are ...em, engineered for gaming.

I'd advise you to buy a game pad/style keyboard like the Razer Tartarus or their ilk that offsets the movement keys and allows your hand to be at an ergonomic position.

For me, gaming with a gamepad is far from ideal. Only game i play with a gamepad on pc, is fifa, otherwise i use the gamepad/controller (ofcourse) on the playstation.
And as that your said gamepad/keyboard (razer tartarus) looks nice, i;m not sure if i would take that gamble to buy it, as i think that it might end up me having to need very much time to really adjust to it.
For me, just mouse and wsad gaming is the way i want to play my games (again with the exception of fifa and playstation) and i just like the bells and whistles, and am willing to pay for em if i can afford it.
So thats why i asked for such a particular keyboard, but as it stands of now, I really miss the lightning of the letters, numbers etc, which could make me find some keys easier when my living room isnt that much lit (sometimes for some games like horror ones, i prefer to game without the lights on) and therefore back lit (i think thats the name isnt it?) keys would be ideal.

But, thanks for your input, but if you know of a keyboard that is split level (as i just love how the keys are placed there) and lit, then i would like to know of it, very much :)

So again, thank you for your reply :)

The cost will be pretty high for what you want. Keep in mind "split" and ergonomic are different things. Split is this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JKSHWG...lja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ&th=1 or https://www.amazon.com/KINESIS-Gami...t=&hvlocphy=9001809&hvtargid=pla-810756483780

Adesso has an ergonomic keyboard for cheap but I have never tried it https://www.microcenter.com/product/439713/Tru-Form_Wired_Backlit_Keyboard_-_Black

Ergonomic keyboards are either made for business use with dome keys and no lights or high end ones that start about $200 but mostly with no back-light and mechanical keys.

That adesso one looks like the one i want :) Thanks for pointing it out :) Gonna try it when i can :)
And yes, split might not be what i want, as i prefer a one in a whole keyboard with an island in between so its basicly a split keyboard in one whole :)
Anyways, like i said, imma give that adesso one a try soon :) Really thanks for pointing that out :)
