Im trying to find any Mac laptop that is cosmetically imperfect of scratch and dent category only. I see the word "refurbished" describing Mac laptops but dont know if that means the laptop internal components / software / OS / ports / ps / display / etc failed and were repaired or whether refurbished means simple cosmetic defects. I've called a couple selllers to inquire what "refurbished " actually means but the Cust service didnt know.

Thank you.

Refurbished almost always means the product was inspected either by the factory or an end customer, an issue was identified (either software/hardware/physical damage), the product was sent back to the factory where the issue was fixed, and then sold again.

Depending on the manufacturer refurbished items can actually be quite nice. Canon comes to mind, their factory refurbished items (specifically lenses and camera bodies) are like new, and inspected better than a retail product is.
